About Chris Plamann

Over the past 12 years I’ve had the sincere pleasure of working for or with companies across a wide spectrum of industries. Whether it be in the role of copywriter, marketing consultant or otherwise, I’ve become versed in a wide range of business practices and markets… from large multi-nationals to small (but growing) startups.

My experience includes work for companies such as Kraft Foods, CMTC (California Manufacturing Technology Consulting), Mattel, CFO 911, IAPMO Testing & Services, Unified Western Grocers, Southern California Edison, Pacific Gas & Electric, San Diego Gas & Electric, National Veterans Foundation, PreVue Properties, Phillips Industries, Blog Business Summit, Progressive Management Resources and the Japanese Ministry of Education.

While my professional experience has been diverse, the same can also be said about my education. Not being able to decide between Finance, Marketing and IT made for an interesting class schedule and an initial bout of mild schizophrenia during the second year of my MBA studies. But alas, I went with Finance in grad school, started a Marketing Consulting practice after graduating, and have since migrated more and more into the IT world (clients drive your growth – make sure you’re able to grow with them).

My specializations have grown out of my professional experience and include online, professional services, manufacturing and business-to-business copywriting.

You’ll notice I also list marketing consulting as a service I offer. I’ve worked as principal for a marketing consulting company for the past four years. And although my partner did all the hard work, I’ve learned a thing or two along the way and would be happy to chat with you about your marketing strategy or tactics that might help you achieve your objectives.
